Saturday morning we made the kids Mickey pancakes for breakfast and asked them what they wanted to do today. They said lots of things and one of them said Disneyland. I said, well what if we could leave today and go to Disneyland?! They didn't believe us, it was so cute and funny! I said go look in my bedroom you will find 2 suitcases all packed up and ready to go! Kyla ran in there so fast and came back so excited! SO FUN!!! We packed up and left! We drove to our hotel and then got ready for the beach. We went to Balboa Pier and had dinner on the pier at Ruby's Diner, then we played at the beach and watched the sunset. Sunday we went to sacrament meeting in Newport Beach, went to the Newport Beach temple, the LA temple and visitors center, and Newport Beach Pier. Monday through Friday we went to Disneyland and California Adventure. We spent the first 2 days at Disneyland and did almost everything in the park, so fun! Maelie and Kyla loved meeting characters but Jaxon... not so much. They loved all the rides. On every ride Jaxon would ask me the same 2 questions. Does the ride go down? (meaning big drops) and Do we get wet? So funny! He refused Splash Mountain and roller coasters. But there were plenty of other fun rides for him to go on. The girls went on everything!! Maelie did the Jedi
Academy, so cool! She got to fight Darth Mal! Jonas wanted them each to have Disney hats so they had fun choosing their hats. Maelie got a Rapunzel music box, Kyla got Perry, and Jaxon got a Buzz blaster gun from one of his favorite rides. Disney is just too much fun!! It felt like we were in another world all week. Maelie lost a tooth at Disneyland and she got some free buttons. Kyla loved how workers said "Oh there you are Perry" as she carried him everywhere. On Wednesday and Thursday we went to California Adventure. Some of the favorites were Soaring Over California, Tower of Terror, the Mickey Coaster, and the new Racers ride in Cars Land. Cars Land was pretty awesome, like we were in the movie. The girls had fun dancing with Phineas and Ferb and Jaxon loved the Play Parade! Holy Smokes! He was dancing like I have never seen him dance before, so cute. Even the 2nd day when we came out of watching the Aladdin show the parade was on and we stopped to watch and he said, "Maelie and Kyla, dance!" And then he started dancing away! World of Color was awesome but a little too crowded! Since we went 5 days, I felt like we had the time to do everything. I didn't know there was a petting zoo and the kids loved taking the raft over to the Pirate's Lair and riding the Pirate ship, stuff I have never done! Canyon did well, but he didn't sleep at night. It was kind of exhausting! But fun!! On Friday we started at Disneyland because Small World opened back up. We spent most of the day there finishing things up and doing a couple other things again! Then we went to CA Adventure to see Aladdin, the girls enjoyed the Mad T Party, Jaxon got to ride the Trolley, and the girls loves the Animation Academy. Then we headed back over to Dland for the fireworks. We decided not to attempt Fantasmic, crazy crowds by that time! We loved our trip and want to go again in a couple years!

lately...
Jonas and I went to the Cheesecake Factory and IKEA for our Vday date. Cruisin' on those carts is pretty fun! haha :) Kyla has been in running club this past school year. She has really enjoyed it! She has had one meet so far and has another one today. We went hiking on President's Day. It was a long one, but fun and the day was beautiful! Later that day I took Canyon to the dr and he has RSV, croup, and an ear infection. I am exhausted! Breathing treatments, antibiotics, and steroids so hopefully he will be better very soon! Poor little guy! Jaxon has a cough right now, too. We let our butterflies go, the kids enjoyed that. We got bunkbeds from some friends for the boy's room. It's a little crowded in there right now since Canyon is still in his crib. He has crawled out of it once but I am not ready for him to be out of his crib yet! He is wayyy too little!!

15 months
Last week I took Canyon to his 15 month well check... 3 more months until nursery!!!! He has moved up quite a bit on the growth charts! He is now 22 lbs 5 oz (43%) and 31 1/2 inches (53%) and his head is still in the 99th %-ile. Anyway, Canyon is such a fun part of our family! It's so fun to see the older kids interact with him and get so amused by him.
fun kids
When I was cleaning the girls room I found awesome Article of Faith reminders Maelie had made, so cool! Jaxon was so sweet at the park, helping Canyon go down the slide. And just a few pix of the kids being silly, the kids being sick, our pet butterflies, and the girls looking pretty for church!
San Tans
She's 7!!!
Happy Birthday Kyla!!! She opened up 3 new beanie boos - zebra, penguin, and big giraffe! She loves them. She got her rainbow pancakes for breakfast. Canyon and I brought donuts to her class at school and we went out to dinner at El Palacio. She looks so cute in her birthday dress. I think she had a great day!
